This thing is getting replaced really soon by Apple. Rumored to happen in September alongside the new Siri update

Refreshes to this product happen only once in a blue moon, and the current model was last refreshed 4 years ago.

People are trying to buy before the price goes up. Today Apple raised the price by $100. MSRP of $249 for 128GB now, I assume the new model when it does come up with also be around that price

To be fair. I've listened to the rumors about the ATV release for over 2 years now. Finally grabbed one a few months back on sale. It's great. Grab it now if you want, I can't imagine that much will be upgraded (especially with the inclusion of some AI nonsense)

Returned the 128GB AppleTV w/ ethernet for $99 deal from costco because of the stupid rumors and still kicking myself. I do want the new one though!

Funny story. I bought 100 shares of Nvidia right before the Shield was released for under $13/share. A year later, the Shield didn't take off like I thought and the stock price barely moved, so I sold them for $14. A million dollars down the drain. Now I browse SD.

I bought one for around this price about a year ago just for a low power consumption VPN. Maybe someday I'll try it as a video device.

I ended up getting the onn 4k pro instead but was def tempted to get this even at the price premium. Apple def has the best one without all the stupid ads
