Community Reviews
This Dell 14 is mainly a compact Windows laptop valued for its 32GB of RAM and 1TB SSD, with the Core 7 150U seen as fine for normal office, school, and everyday use. The memory and storage stand out at this price, and the chip is described as similar to an i7 1355U and not weak, just a 15 watt U series part. The main concern is that the processor may feel limiting for video editing, heavy math, or other demanding work, and the 32GB configuration may not stay at the listed price. It is a practical fit if you want lots of memory in a thin and light machine.
Common Questions (5)
It can be a better fit if you need Windows compatibility, a larger screen, and more RAM/storage for school software. The key decision is whether your classes and future work require Windows apps, since software is not universal between Mac and Windows.
Yes. The Core 7 150U is described as a 15W U-series chip similar to an i7-1355U, and it should be fine for everyday browsing, Office work, and general college use. It is less suitable for video editing, heavy CS work, or demanding math/modeling tasks.
For basic use, 32GB can be more than needed, but it is valuable if you want a machine that stays useful longer or handle heavier multitasking. The main appeal of this deal is getting 32GB DDR5 and a 1TB SSD at a price that is hard to find in a non-refurbished laptop.
The listed price can drop further with cashback and card offers. One buyer reported an extra 10% cashback site offer, and another used two Amex Business Platinum cards to get $300 back in credits, cutting the effective cost sharply.
Yes. The price without the student discount is $649, and it is still considered a good deal at that level. The student price is $584.99, but the deal remains attractive even without it.
