I'm not sure which Powercolor model you are referring to, I must have missed the deal probably because I wasn't looking for one, but I saw this one. Back last year when these were all sold out and hard to get after they launched, my son's made the 3 hour trek to a Microcenter in Cleveland in the middle of the night on launch day to get in line to get a 9070 XT, not the 9070, but I remember them researching them and both models share the same chassis with both Powercolor and XFX. On that day and that day only, Microcenter was selling the 9070 and 9070 XT for their $549.99 and $599.99 MSRPs, prices never to be seen again. People who lined up late got 9070's, the ones who arrived hours in advance got XT's.

That's why their results might not identically translate to this model, the XT model draws a fair amount more power than a 9070, but a both cards share the same chassis and physical dimensions. We had them both unboxed together, make sure you check case fitment for the XFX model, it's absolutely massive compared to the Reaper. The Reaper is under 300 mm and only two slots wide. The XFX is way longer and occupies three slots. Another thing we immediately noted, the XFX has a dual bios, the Reaper does not.

Fast forward well over a year later, both are very happy with their GPUs, they both are into PC gaming and they perform similarly. The XFX however does run cooler and quieter than the Reaper does and I'm guessing it's due to the massive cooler and larger fans. I don't think you can go wrong with either choice, but if it were me buying one and using it for years, a small upcharge for the XFX is worth it in my opinion. It also had better overall build quality than the Powercolor Reaper, again these were 9070 XTs not 9070s so YMMV. Perhaps the 9070 pulling substantially less watts, so on That model Reaper might be plenty to keep it cool without overworking the fans but on the XT they work hard and that translates to noise. On the Quicksilver even with the BIOS switch to quiet mode it runs cooler.

I don't know if this information is helpful because they aren't exactly the same but I thought I would share our experiences with the XT versions of both cards.
