Amazon generic OSC multi-tool blades are SO MUCH CHEAPER. I do love Milwaukee's carrying cases for their blades, but this kit doesn't come with one so I'm going to pass.

The length of time the amazon ones last you're saving money in the long run. Of the ones I've tried from Amazon they will dull super quick if I'm cutting metal. Drywall or soft wood aren't an issue though.

As an electrician that uses the oscillating tool nearly daily, the Milwaukee carbides will last on nearly everything you throw at them as long as you don't push too hard on the material you're cutting. Let the blade do the work. Only exception is plaster, that will chew up nearly anything you throw at it.

Use the right blade for the material and once it's dull, throw out or resharpen. If it's smoking while cutting, you're pushing too hard or the blade is too dull.

If you want longest lasting, in my experience, go for Diablo carbide blades. They're a little cheaper than Milwaukee and have lasted 20-50% longer. (Milwaukee knows this and gets in a tizzy when Diablo dealers set up in a shop that sells Milwaukee)
Same goes for spade bits.

If you want a slick deal and don't use these daily, go for cheap blades correctly rated for whatever you're cutting and treat them well, applying guidelines of use as I stated earlier.
