Couple take-aways from the Woot forums:

While the box says Soundcore Boom 2, apparently this may be a variant and may not pair with other Soundcore Boom 2 speakers. Discussion says some labels are marked v2 and inventory at Amazon (same as woot) may be intermixed with variants. Only a factor if you're looking to pair multiple together I suspect.
Another variant at Costco, apparently for $40-50, was only available in store at a few Costco stores.
Yet another variant available at Costco (the Boom 3?), is a different and smaller version.

This - be careful if you're looking to pair them. I got a Soundcore Boom 2 from Amazon about a month ago. I got the Woot version last week and it came the other day. It ended up being the Boom V2, which is the Costco variant and does not pair with the other Boom 2 via TWS. The V2 also lacks a few features in the app that the Boom 2 has, along with some minor cosmetic differences (icons on one of the buttons and a logo on the rear)

I received mine from Woot yesterday and says is the Boom V2 on the box. On the back it says party cast 2.0 and link 100+ speakers as one of the features.

I bought this early this week for $55 through the other woot deal.This thing bumps! I bought it in hopes that it bumps louder than my ultimate ears megaboom 3 and it does significantly better!

I got my pair yesterday and both are V2. They sound great and link up easily. Still a great deal at $70 instead of the $56 I paid

I'm in for two to party cast with each other. Like earlier comments have said, apparently this Boom v2 (these appear to be Costco sell-offs made in Vietnam with slightly different firmware or internals) will NOT party cast with original Boom 2 (made in China).

Fine for my purposes....sorry to have missed the original Costco deal a little while back. I blinked!

So I ordered one from the Aliexpress refurb deal recently. Then before it showed it was shipped i canceled the order and ordered the Woot one because it was about the same price but brand new. Aliexpress still shipped it though and now I have both, one box is clearly marked V2, and the other is marked Boom 2.

They both say that particularly on the bottom also, however the interesting thing is they both have the exact same model number listed on the bottom "A3138".

I'm waiting for the second one to charge up completely then i'm going to try paring them as TWS for stereo sound.
