I wonder if some of these are targeted or location based?

I bought one yesterday and it was listed for $911.20 with the 15% discount. Cost before taxes was $774.56

Additionally, when I look now... they have other color variations for cheaper than posted

I am seeing $924 base price before reduced price in cart

Keep an eye on Best Buy too. I was able to get an Excellent condition (return), M5 Air 13 (16GB/512GB) for $880 just yesterday.
Yup I got one two. They updated prices today including the used ones

When this deal was posted for around $150 less just 2 days ago, it was heavily downvoted: https://slickdeals.net/f/19674909-prime-members-renewed-apple-macbook-air-2025-15-m4-16gb-ram-256gb-ssd-sky-blue-721-50?src=SDSearchv3&attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3ATrue%7CSearch%3AType%3Anormal%7CSearch%3ASort%3Arecent%7CSearch%3AHideExpired%3Afalse
But, when a staff member posts it for significantly more, it gets thumbed up to the moon. No wonder why so many popular posters stopped posting here over the years.
That is not 100% accurate. The one you posted is an amazon renewed listing, this listing is a "resale". I purchased one of the renewed ones and had to return it because it was functionally refurbished not new.... (issue with trackpad, but the battery and screen look replaced). The resale models here are being described as like new or mint... which is slightly different in value. NOT saying the other post should have been downvoted, just pointing out the difference

I agree a little with you, 2 days ago the retail price for this laptop was less than $1000.
Since Apple increased M5 prices yesterday, this became good deal now.

Shouldn't renewed imply a better condition than a resale? If you got a bad product from that listing, that should purely be on Amazon's part. By definition, resale would be selling the laptop in an as-it-is condition while renewed implies that the laptop would have been inspected, cleaned and fixed similar to a new condition, if needed. Am I wrong with this deduction?
I appreciate the clarification, nonetheless.

In all fairness, I've seen you make comments like this a number of times, comparing how your deal has done versus other poster (members and staff). Comments like that might be a bit off putting to some, making them reluctant to vote your deals up. Smilie

Not persay... My understanding when researching was resales are normally like... open box returns from amazon. The resale description normally tells you what condition the resale product is in, it has not been touched.
I believe their are vendors that work with Amazon for the renewed condition and are SUPPOSED to undergo an inspection etc.... During the prime sale, they did have a good deal on a 16gb/512gb starlight 13" model listed as "Excellent". But the item arrived with hardware and visual defects that did not match the excellent criteria. When I asked for an exchange... they claimed they could no longer honor the prime deal and did not have exchange units available.

Both are sold my Amazon, so the returns on these are easy.

So, showing the mirror to someone (w/ links and sources to back it up) is off-putting? I didn't realize that.
I must have made these comments, esp. the first ever time, for a valid reason and not out of thin air (as is the case with most of my comments). Instead of acknowledging this fact, which I am sure most people here can, you resort to victim blaming, of course. 👏🏽

It is the tone and as I've said, it can be off putting. That is not just myself saying that. Anyway, I do not want to clutter up this thread, I just wanted to publicly address your comment. If you would like to continue to conversation, you are welcome to PM me.
