PC games should have a upgrade MTX for every increment of the resolution slider.

Switch2 is different hardware and Nintendo is doing stuff in the games but the platforms are very close.Seems like their strategy works better than anyone else's.

So, if you upgrade the switch 1 version does that mean you can play it on both switch 1 and 2 or does your switch 1 version get removed?

It just unlocks the switch 2 version. So, on switch 1 you can only play the original version, but on switch 2 you can play the upgraded switch 2 version. Nothing gets removed.
