- As noted in the OP, I entered an email in the promo banner and the flashlight was then added to the cart.
- After that, the CHECKOUT button was not enabled which prevents completion of the checkout process. The cart did display the message "Get free i3E Gift with any purchase over $0" so I added the least expensive item I found – a 99 cent clip mount.
- CHECKOUT button was now enabled in the cart, so clicked it.
- Reward coins were used for the added item for a final total of $0.00 including no tax and no shipping cost.
- Checked the terms and conditions box.
- Entered an address and selected it for both billing and shipping.
- CHECKOUT button not enabled to complete the order, so clicked PayPal, waited a few moments, then clicked Credit Card.
- This enabled the CHECKOUT button, without needing to enter credit card info. I clicked the CHECKOUT button to place the order.
After all these machinations the order completed and I received an email receipt and a few days later tracking info showing it is on the way. The process is fairly convoluted, though not complicated, at least once you know how to process it. I do worry about the SlickDeals effect killing this deal if a huge number of orders are placed. I encourage only redeeming if you truly want the flashlight as opposed to a 'it's free, why not' type of redemption.HTH!
