Fast forward to Zebra products made in the last 6+ years. Not so great. The ZT230 and modern printers changed much of it to plastic. I would expect them to fail after 5 years with parts starting to break due to plastic fatigue. Meanwhile, 30 year old Zebras from pre 2000 still print fine - although using the archaic parallel interface. I had some printers with over 6 million inches printed on them and mechanically they would still be in excellent condition. (They have an odometer that counts in inches)

I do not know if this one thas that restriction. For my 4x6 labels I use a USB connected thermal printer from "Offnova" which works with any thermal labels. It just shows up as a regular printer in windows.
