Still trying to understand why it is labeled "compact" it is as large and heavy as any other 25ft measure.

I bought this on a similar sale and could not be happier. I don't think I've ever had such a good tape measure. I usually buy a cheap one but never again after getting my hands on this. It's worth every penny pick it up if you need one

I bought a laser measure instead for $15, and will stay with the $5 physical reel tape measures. https://www.amazon.com/RockSeed-P...0DJ7JKWRZ/

Honestly, I prefer the 12' Husky version: homedepot.com/pep/Husky-12-ft-Tape-Measure-90646/320510413?g_store=3634&source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&fp=ggl&pla&mtc=SHOPPING-BF-CDP-GGL-D25H-025_001_Hand_Tools-NA-NA-NA-PMAX-NA-NA-NA-NA-NBR-NA-NA-NA-Hand_Tools&cm_mmc=SHOPPING-BF-CDP-GGL-D25H-025_001_Hand_Tools-NA-NA-NA-PMAX-NA-NA-NA-NA-NBR-NA-NA-NA-Hand_Tools-23441367737--&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23441373260&gbraid=0AAAAADq61UcysFlHxXQm2UZXtS4V0FQsv&gclid=CjwKCAjw6f3RBhApEiwAMaCqWSiFPglQueWMkzbHUVmDfRbxTOXTiBuLD4Jy8DqLR6tBLRTjkXYtVxoC064QAvD_BwE

Depends what you usually work on, but i find a 12 ft or 16 ft is enough for me 99% of the time and so much nicer to carry around all day. Last time I needed a 25 ft tape was when I framed my garage 2 years ago.

I do see that happen, but I think it's because of the sheer amount of them in circulation some are bound to fail.

Maybe this has been around but it's the first one I have where there is an opening at the bottom so you can use your finger to hold and temporarily stop the tape from retracting without need to use the locking mechanism.
