. I agree these shouldn't be labeled "big and tall". (since there's no tall shorts) But these ones aren't working for someone who's tall and skinny. Tall could imply longer inseam.

Either way you wouldn't fit the description 🤷
Big & tall is the normal classification for plus sized clothing. If it helps these have a 11" inseam, an inch longer than their regular cut.

Because it's a category that caters to both big people both in height and width but there's no category of tall shorts. That's just regular shorts.

They are my fat shorts. I've owned several pairs. They are good, I don't use the belt because the d-ring buckle digs into my gut. I use my normal belt. These aren't very stretchy like the Sonoma shorts I got a Kohl's but they are fine for $13. A recent khaki pair got caught on the cargo pocket on a cupboard handle and ripped pretty easily but I'll just but another pair for $13. Hope that helps some of my chunky folks on here.
