Watch out for price per pound - it can be a good quick estimate but can also be deceiving.

This is 32g protein/70g serving, 46% protein by mass.

In comparison, ON is 24g protein/31g serving, 77% protein by mass.

So it takes over a pound and a half of Muscle Milk to get the same amount of protein as a pound of ON.

Any protein powder below $10 a pound is a cheap price. This is about $6.5 a pound.

Good deal
But just scooped
Two 5lb of vanilla cream scientific research ones

They were $53 but still need half their normal price
And since it's such an improvement it flavor I'll pay the premium (not retail but at least $54 for five pds. Which seems like a lot but it's just so much better than any other kind.

If I didn't just buy ten pds I'd probably get one of these

No, this is a really good price. It's the flavor that is off-putting, but you can make it better by blending in ice and adding some real strawberries. Make it a meal replacement if you don't have time to eat.

You must not eat anything that comes from the soil since most vegetables and fruits come from the soil, which contains traces of lead.

This comes out to about 3.4 cents per gram of protein. A good price for Muscle Milk, but really about the same as you would get from ON, at Costco, at regular price.

It's about a 50/50 isolate to concentrate ratio (like ON).

Buy if you like Muscle Milk more than other protein blends.

Terrible macros. Wait for iso100 or optimum nutrition. Deals to be had at on eBay or even here.

Should be 70% protein per scoop. 130 calories or less. Ideally 110. Less important Watch sodium and cholesterol. Carbs should be 3 or less per scoop.

Don't really have much to add besides appreciate you dropping some wisdom here.

People are so quick to just look at the price per pound but as you mentioned it can be deceiving.

The added fiber is nice, but a 70g scoop that's almost 300 calories for only 32g protein is crazy. It's getting close to a meal replacement territory.

Unless you are skinny and want to build mass and muscle. I hate these comments, like your body is the same as everyone's else's

Thank you.

I'm not saying MM is bad - some people like the extra ingredients like fiber, micronutrients, and better/more flavoring. Nothing wrong with that, but it isn't protein.

The extra calories are probably why many folks think MM tastes better than other powders.

I tried this brand a 1-2 years ago. It was the grittiest, least pleasant protein powder I've ever tried. The flavor (this one) was also terrible (and I'm typically very generous with flavors). I tried drinking it and mixing it in fruit smoothies, but I ended up throwing most of it away (it was only a small container).
This is cheap as far as protein prices go now. That's about the best thing going for it.
