Thank goodness the SD staff is again shilling cheap Chinese axes with the Cold Steel logo! My zombie readiness closet still has room for a few dozen more of these. I'm still partial to the Viking war axe versions, but this one is also good

I don't know what Slickdeals is trying to tell me between the tactical knife from a couple days ago, flamethrower from a few weeks ago, and this.

Or maybe it';s a warning form the AI overlords? Is Skynet trying to get me to prep? AM I ONE OF THE CHOSEN?

I'll buy two!

Im also partial to the viking war ax but everyone of these different styles ive bought ive been able to MOD into something GLORIOUS and have all been fun projects to work on.
Sand off the shitty finish on the blade (the made in Tawain mark as well) and the handle and youre dealing with decent crucible steel and an oversized- hickory handle.
Last war ax I gave as a wedding present after I went ham with a wood burner and electro etched the blade with 9v battery. Salt water, alligator clips, and a small vinyl sticker used for a stencil, great results.

Awesome! Need details on the electro etch setup and process. Love the idea of using these as wedding presents! If I grind off the made-in location, maybe they will believe it is a good gift?

Here is how I've done a number of items (from tools to stainless tumblers to signs). I've only ever had one 9v battery pop on me.Embarrassment

Ah, the link is not working. What is the title of the Instructable article?
