Based on description this classifies as scratch and dent.

I need a phone but buying from some unknown refurb dealer scares me. They may not even use oem parts.

I got one and returned it, as it wouldnt take to a sim. Best guess is that the antenna is bad or some stealth lock. Returning it, they already sent me a label, this merchant doesn't hassle on return
Overall the phone was decent 1 scratchy area on the screen that you couldnt see with a screen protector, otherwise the condition was very good with a couple minor scratches on the edge consistent with it being in a case.
after a couple of hours on the phone and chat with my carrier trying to get an activated I'm not willing to try again.
