Correction: I originally thought you would get white meat too, since if you click on the deal it takes you to the product page which says specifically that you get both. But if you add it to the cart, it changes the bucket to thighs and drums only (which seems a little deceptive). The terms mentioned in the OP are hidden behind a fine print link, which seemed contradictory to what the page was showing, which I chose to believe instead.
Community Reviews
KFC's $15 12 piece bucket is a flat price chicken deal that works out to the same $1.25 per piece as the Tuesday 8 piece offer, but with four extra pieces and the flexibility to order any day. The bucket is often described as dark meat only, usually drums and thighs, and the app or product page can show mixed pieces before changing in cart. Availability is spotty by market, and some locations do not honor the promo. The deal is most useful when you want more chicken without paying a la carte prices.
Common Questions (5)
The cart and fine print can change the offer to drums and thighs only, with no substitutions. Some screens initially show a mixed bucket, but the checkout flow may switch it to dark meat only.
Yes. Both work out to about $1.25 per piece, or $5 for every 4 pieces; the main difference is that the 12-piece bucket is available any day while the 8-piece deal is Tuesday-only.
You can sometimes ask for specific pieces, and one workaround mentioned is requesting all thighs. That is not guaranteed at every location, and some stores may refuse piece substitutions or only offer drums and thighs.
No. Several locations and markets do not honor the promo, including reports from Atlanta, San Diego, and parts of LA, and some stores also do not offer extra crispy.
Yes, the discount requires membership, and the offer is one-time use. Some locations also require a minimum spend before certain app discounts apply.
