I was watching the mini 7 but it rarely comes on sale anywhere near 400 and even then that's too expensive. And now with the price increase it's closer to 600$ and the new mini 8th gen is rumored to be even more expensive. Thanks partly to the ai apocalypse and also due to some screen upgrades. You have to remember the iPad mini for the first 5 generations never exceeded 300$ and suddenly everything is double that now, you might as well spend 500 and get an M series iPad Air. They are significantly more powerful than the mini 7 cpu. But the mini form factor is just preferable IMO.

This iPad Mini 6 stands out as a compact cellular tablet for portability, especially at a new price that is close to used or refurbished mini 6 units. The cellular version is the main draw, and the smaller form factor remains the reason to choose the Mini over larger iPads. The aging A15 chip means no Apple Intelligence, and 64GB storage is a major limitation for apps, media, and updates. Support life also looks shorter than newer A17 or M series models, so it fits best when size and cellular matter most.
People who do not care about Apple Intelligence, because the A15 chip cannot run those features and they are not compelling for this use case.
Travelers who want a pocketable tablet for reading and streaming, because the smaller form factor and portability are the main reason to choose it.
Cellular-first tablet buyers who need data away from Wi‑Fi, because this model is only considered worthwhile when cellular matters.
Shoppers replacing an older mini who want a new unit at this price, because used and refurbished mini 6 models can cost about the same while showing worn batteries and visible damage.
Power users who want long software support, because the A15 and 64GB configuration likely leaves only a couple more years of support.
Heavy app installers who keep offline media, because 64GB can leave too little space after the operating system for updates and downloads.
Buyers expecting Apple Intelligence features, because this model does not support them on its A15 chip and 4 GB of RAM.
People comparing it to newer minis on value, because the next generation is much pricier but this one still feels dated for the hardware.

EDIT: For some reason it wasn't showing on the Woot app but worked fine on the website.

On the one hand, it's a cellular model, which the cheapest iPad Mini 7th-gen Cellular is $749.
On the other hand... this is the A15 (no apple intellgence), only 64GB of storage, and probably only gets a couple more years of support.
