Does not support Apple Intelligence features because it has an A15 chip and 4 GB of RAM; those features require newer hardware (such as the A17 Pro or M-series chips).

Good info. All buyers should consider checking into end of life scenario. Google says 2027-2029 which means a bit more life. But the A17 or M series (mentioned above);gives you a longer use and support schedule for not much more money.

Yes but keep in mind, the mini 7 is basically double the price. And the next mini is rumored to have OLED which is gonna bump the price closer to 800$. So I don't know about you but a 600-800$ iPad mini doesn't make any sense.

Not much money more? How does 600$ for a mini 7 sound. Or 800$ for the next generation mini? Not much money more LOL the A15 is probably gonna get iPadOS 30 at this point.

I decided to jump on this Friday evening because I'm still using a mini 5 and I desperately need something faster. For some reason used and refurbished mini 6 models are at MINIMUM 300$ with a worn out battery with scratches and dents. This is for a NEW mini same price.

I was watching the mini 7 but it rarely comes on sale anywhere near 400 and even then that's too expensive. And now with the price increase it's closer to 600$ and the new mini 8th gen is rumored to be even more expensive. Thanks partly to the ai apocalypse and also due to some screen upgrades. You have to remember the iPad mini for the first 5 generations never exceeded 300$ and suddenly everything is double that now, you might as well spend 500 and get an M series iPad Air. They are significantly more powerful than the mini 7 cpu. But the mini form factor is just preferable IMO.

Not seeing the Amazon discount.

EDIT: For some reason it wasn't showing on the Woot app but worked fine on the website.

So what you have to do is you have to go to the link. And when it asks you to sign into woot, sign in through your Amazon account, not the woot site. And when you're in the checkout page you should see the discount

This is hard to evaluate.

On the one hand, it's a cellular model, which the cheapest iPad Mini 7th-gen Cellular is $749.

On the other hand... this is the A15 (no apple intellgence), only 64GB of storage, and probably only gets a couple more years of support.

Not for me. I buy the Mini because of the smaller form factor and portability. Even if the price were the same, I would take the Mini. I suspect this holds for many Mini customers as well.

Well considering the mini 5 got iPad OS 26 and it works just fine, the mini 6 is probably gonna get iPad OS 29 at minimum, in that time hopefully the ai memory apocalypse is over and things will be more affordable by then.
