The "Advanced" On-Device Limit: Apple announced its next-generation "Siri AI" and highly advanced local on-device models. Because these newer models are incredibly demanding, Apple requires an M3 chip or newer and a minimum of 12GB of RAM to run them locally.

I use iphone and mbp and a m4 Mac mini 16gb, but whats the point of using Siri ai when she can't spell things right half the time and just takes your command then disregard it. So useless. And autocorrect still works worse than Word 97. They're just jumping in the bandwagon but most the Siri stuff in messages are for S&Giggles. The stuff people rely on everyday to properly communicate and look things up are helplessly bad. Oh and the AirPod live translate is better with Google Translate cos can download language packs locally while if you don't got a fast 5G connection apples translate stuff they advertised with new airpods are flat out unuseable.

This isn't a good deal. They just had 13" M4 base models for 700 at Costco and similar Amazon excellent refurbished deals
