Does the magnifica plus have any upsides compared to the magnifica duo? Seems like the duo has the exact same features plus the cold foam options. Confused as to why the msrp of the plus is 1300 and the duo is only 1000.
All I see on Costco.com is the Magnfica Evo with the manual milk frother, so not even close to this machine. Unless your local store has the higher end DeLonghi's Costco does not sell the equivelent.
I have this and highly recommend it. I had an issue with it under warranty (screen went haywire), and their service was pretty excellent. DeLonghi voluntarily sent packing materials and paid shipping both ways to repair and return it.
I have this and it makes some wonderful 'regular' coffee and strong espresso when ya need it. The only thing I've needed to do is run the cleaner every once in a while and filter changes a few times a year. My old Saeco was a maintenance nightmare. I replaced the pump and temp sensors on that one. It's now doing duty over in the welding shop. This DeLonghi Magnifica Plus checks all the boxes, all the functions you 'think' you need. You can save your 'perfect cup' as far as how strong the coffee and how much cream. I am pretty happy with it on top of the savings after the exorbitant prices at Starbucks.
I have been eying the Evo next for a while but hesitant to spend the money. Can someone chime in on the Plus, The evolution next, and the brand new Duo. the latter has so many cold coffee options but no hot water and less hot coffee options and is still brand new. Coupon works on all three.

You bring up a good question. The Magnifica Duo looks to be a brand new machine, I cannot find any video reviews of it online. I like that it makes cold drinks, but I don't like that it has the non-touch screen from the lower Evo machine. Not sure if it can do the doppio+ setting. Will be interesting to see how it fares on the YouTube reviews when they come out.
Have the Magnifica Evo that recently died. I'd like to get to something that is real espresso but size constraints, access to water tank and general lack of interest to twist knobs and dials prevent me from doing so.
I know this isn't a purist's espresso, but is there a material difference in the ~16g dose this machine is said to deliver over the Evo? I thought the Evo was ok- 6/10. Will this bring it to a 8? IDGAF about touch screens, 20 various drinks (although a milk drink is nice to have on occasion). I just want to push a button and get a pretty damn good shot. Is this it? Is the Rivelia, Dinamica, Elletta worth a look or is that tossing money away?

Got it Thursday. It will be going back. Cold frothing is very underwhelming. No doppio+, max of 13 gram shots, and the 2x espresso is just twice as much water through a single puck instead of 2 separate single shots.

Thanks for sharing. I just got the Magnifica Plus from this deal today. Set it up and made a doppio+ as well as a cappuccino. Both were excellent. My daughter asked if it could make cold drinks and I said no, then started second guessing if I should have ordered the Duo. Appreciate your feedback, looks like I will be staying with the Plus. I only wish there was a way to make it use the doppio+ setting when making a latte or cappuccino vs making the shot and doing the foamed milk separately.
