I bought mine in FEB.

Took it out of the box and tested it.
Works ok. Does not need an app for tracking. It's all self contained. It is not fluid but it's only $25. Temper your expectations.
Boxed it up and haven't used it since. I don't have any real use with it, so I can't really comment further.
