I can't believe how expensive some coolers are...and that isn't necessarily aimed at this one. Always known Yeti's and stuff were expensive, but seems like the whole industry is trending that direction.

I don't like the trend but this looks like a premium product with a lot of reasearch

These are $200 at discount store called Sierra (trading post). They're apart of the tjmax Marshall's group.

They do have a website but I've seen them in store for $200. YMMV

These handles break too easily. Do your research.

I have the previous iteration of this product and it slaps for the beach but isn't as good as just a warped piece of plywood.

$216 at dicks.

Have one since last summer. Loads of complaints online of people breaking handles. It's definitely not indestructible but they seem robust enough for anyone treating it like they want it to last - like luggage handles - you can keep them for a decade and some people will break them on the first use.

I like the rod holder cutouts which allow accessories to be attached to it

i have this, just note a few things. 1 only paid $125 about 2 years ago for it, so I t think that is the better price point. Pros: It is sturdy, huge and looks good. The little table insert is super useful. Con: The insulating plastic of the cooler part is trash. Terrible job at keeping ice from melting. So frustrating because it can't last a day at the beach. Also had to replace a hinge made of cheap plastic that snapped. so factor in another $20. Can't recc this over $200

I would stay away from this cooler. i
Currently have an open ticket with igloo to see what is wrong with it. I put a piece of ice in there yesterday and it melted within an hour. It doesn't appear the inside is even insulated. I am not sure how this cooler works but I think it's more for keeping items cool and not ice cold. I really wish I got a different rolling cooler

Mine keeps ice all day at the beach. We also take it camping and have no problem keeping ice all weekend.

The key with ANY cooler is pre-chilling your contents and the inside of the cooler if possible.

If you load it up with a bunch of warm cans and bottles on your way to the beach and throw some ice over it, the ice is absolutely going to melt very quickly, it doesn't matter how good the cooler is.

Typically what I do if I'm loading it with warm drinks is to load everything into the cooler a couple hours ahead of time and then drain off the water and top off the ice right before we hit the road.

Does your lid close fully? I got a replacement lid from igloo and both never fully closed. You have to force down the lid and it slowly creeps its way back up. It's not like a heavy cooler where you let the lid go and it auto slams shut

Nope, no problem with the lid staying closed.

The only real issue I've had with it is the clips on the underside of the of the lid that store the tray did eventually come loose and wouldn't really hold the tray in place. I just unscrewed them and added some small rubber gaskets under, and now they stay in place.
