Just got a text about my plan being retired and price per line going up.
I chatted with a rep and they were telling me all the enchantments I'll be getting even though it sounded like it is all the same stuff I was getting before.
Just a post for your thoughts and a heads up if you didn't get a notice.
Should start July 13.

the only reason i'm with t-mobile is for the roaming international data included. I travel a lot. Even though the speeds are slow its still enough for me. I dont think there are any plans out there that beat t-mobile for included international data.

Update: I originally got a text saying my Kick Back Plan would be discontinued. I'm on an old One plan with free line and kickback. I google searched and found out about Tmobile's announcement of cancelling grandfathered plans and assumed my whole plan was to be converted. I called in right now to ask what the new plan would look like and was told that my old One plan will stay the same, the only change is the Kickback will be removed. I was surprised as I thought all One plans would be removed but apparently they are cherry picking accounts that will be moved to new lines and some people will have modified accounts but overall will keep their same accounts. I mentioned to the CS rep that I read that all old plans and even Magenta could be affected and she told me her Magenta plan was not affected but her friend's was. So sounds like not a lot of consistency with changed accounts. Also I asked if there was any credits/benefits she could give me and she put me on hold and then came back with "since you've been a long time customer we are going to give you a $20/credit/ month for a year. I'm sure this is YMMV but hey why not ask. If my plan ends up not changing besides the loss of the kickback the credit will make up for at least the next year or until I can figure out what service to change to next if needed. I'm guessing they are prepping for a large number of people calling in to cancel so they may have this discount or something as a retention holder to try to keep people on. Give it a shot.

How about Simple Choice and Simple Choice NA?
I too have Simple Choice NA. I didn't get a text about price increase for the phone lines, but did get a text about my free watch line and tablet line getting a charge monthly now. I'm gonna cancel those 2 lines.

I msg TMO on X to cancel my watch and tablet line, tried to get credit or anything the rep can give me. The rep said nothing was available to give 😮 💨
