This is a jigsaw regardless of what Fanttik calls it. It actually uses jigsaw blades NOT recip saw blades. Searched videos on YouTube and only found influencers raving about it but no serious tool guys. You're better off getting a name brand cordless jigsaw or recip saw like M12 with Milwaukee.

Call it whatever you want to call it, but if you commonly work out of a tool bag like I do, you know that the smaller the tool the better. This very obviously isn't designed to replace a reciprocating saw OR a jigsaw on a job site, but to provide a small lightweight alternative in a pinch. Making an occasional quick cut doesn't necessarily require lugging around a heavy duty $200 tool.

They have pistol bullets? And I have always purchased bullets by size and caliber. Can't wait to go into the gun store next time and ask for pistol only bullets!

That's why I mentioned the Milwaukee M12. If you get the brushed versions they are fairly compact and also would do a better cutting job. When I watched videos on this tool one of the guys is cutting through a 1" dowel and it took way too long! I think the main issue with this tool is it has a very short stroke length which automatically reduces its speed of cutting. If I could pick one up for around $30-$35 I would probably purchase as a backup tool.

I fully agree with you about the price. I can't imagine spending $70 on this, let alone $100.
It's a tool of convenience with a non-replaceable battery, and it almost certainly wouldn't last more than a few years in a work setting. It's the kind of thing I'll buy from Harbor Freight for $25 when they inevitably copy the design.

Seems to me "in a pinch" cuts could just as easily be served by a small handsaw. This really feels like a solution in search of a problem.

If you are already in the ecosystem of a tool like Milwaukee, dewalt, etc.
Picking up a tool only for $90-115 is fairly close to compare to this.

This would probably be useful only as a cut hole in drywall type situation and I would imagine any rotozip copy like Milwaukee would be infinitely better.
