Never heard of the brand, but the reviews on Amazon aren't bad. This one for $15 or the Apple Watch for $350? Screw it, it's worth a shot. In for 1.

Only issue with these are that it makes you download and install a Chinese app for using all the features. So they and by virtue of how the Chinese companies a contractually obligated to share data with the Chinese government whenever they want make it a bit of a turn off. Oh and also the accuracy of all the trackers are all over the place and nowhere near the more brand named watches.

They don't track anything. But it's good for notifications.

It's funny how this checks all the boxes that a Samsung galaxy watch or apple watch does at 5-10% of the sticker price. Like what else do the name brand do to warrant the 90-95% hike?

I have news for you about the US based watches, in that case.

Worked for me (on the black model).

Sometimes it's good to have the ability to switch out to an inexpensive watch instead of exposing your expensive Apple watch when you are going to do rough or dirty tasks.

Equating the data privacy of US based smartwatches with cheap Chinese alternatives is a massive false equivalency that ignores fundamental differences in law and corporate oversight.

Under China's 2017 National Intelligence Law, all Chinese companies are legally mandated to secretly hand over data to the government upon request, with zero ability to appeal to an independent judiciary. In contrast, US companies are bound by the Fourth Amendment, meaning law enforcement must prove probable cause and obtain a warrant from a judge to access your information. Furthermore, major US tech firms regularly fight government overreach in court, publish transparency reports, and use end-to-end encryption to ensure they cannot even read your health data themselves.

Cheap Chinese fitness apps, on the other hand, often require sideloading or aggressive permissions that bypass Western privacy standards entirely. Comparing a heavily audited US company operating under the rule of law to a manufacturer legally bound to act as an arm of an authoritarian state completely ignores reality.

I tried a cheap Chinese smartwatch that was this price last year. My phone which normally had 30% battery at the end of the day was dead before I got off my shift at work. Couldn't figure out any work around so gave it away. I plan to try something from a reputable company next.

C6QKXD2B still seems to work. If you're using the Amazon app you might be missing the step of tapping on the arrow that appears in the promo code box to apply the code (before tapping the Continue button).

It finally worked but I had to restart app a couple of times. Very strange it only worked on the blk one, not blue.

That's a cool story, but several whistleblowers have shattered that myth.

The whistleblowers actually prove my point, not shatter the myth. They highlighted a massive difference in how the two systems operate. When the Snowden leaks happened, it created an international scandal, forced Western tech companies to radically beef up consumer encryption to keep the NSA out, and triggered ongoing federal court battles over consumer privacy limits. In China, there is no system to blow the whistle on.

Whistleblowers only exist in systems where the government and private corporations are actually separate entities that can be exposed. In China, corporate data sharing with the state isn't a secret conspiracy a whistleblower needs to uncover. It's literally written directly into their public national security laws.
