Not an expert but just looking at the product. I would suggest taking the whole thing out then soaking watering in your sink, let it dry then move it back.

In one of the pics it shows just that. I think in your soil needs to be amended so it retains moisture. Additional moisture would be expelled through the coconut media as to not promote root rot.

(Just my guess. I do not have a green thumb).

Depends on what you're growing. Some plants wants it wet but needs to dry out to prevent rot which these are perfect for

Take a plastic bag and you line / hide it inside the planter. Then pop a few holes in the plastic so it can leak out... Everytime I do this it works just like a "normal" popped hanging plant and doesn't need to be watered nearly as often.

Depends on the plants needs, but you will have to water more frequently than say planting in a flower pot. You can also get soil with hydrogel water retaining "crystals" in it to help retain moisture longer. Been using these types of planters for years because they're great for plants that like to trail, but yeah I have to check more frequently for watering. Especially for plants like petunias and clown flowers which are thirsty buggers.
ETA: once you buy these you can reuse the planter, just buy new coco liners when they wear out.
