I prefer the Irwin Speedbore (spiral flutes like a normal drill bit) but these are cheaper and this is a solid bit.

irwin makes solid stuff not a super talked about company but like lennox for example their gold blades for your utility knives are the best around but no one talks about lennox

Absolutely, Lenox gold box cutter/blades are all I buy. And their 9-1 multi-bit screwdriver is my go-to. Oh and reciprocating saw blades, can't forget those đŸ¤£

Can't go wrong to have these in your bit drawer for the cost average of $1 each…

The 10-piece Diablo set is 30 cents cheaper, and comes with a carrying pouch.

Yep, that the problem, when you have Irwin Speedbor, regular spades just occupy space in the drawer. +1 to the first comment in this post.

Assuming you're talking about Speedbore Max, those are auger bits. Diablo, Milwaukee, Spyder, and a few others make them as well. Irwin also makes Speedbore spade bits that are like those in the OP, and comparably priced.
