Klipsch R series has been notorious for early amp failures, but you do get Costco's fabulous return policy so this might be worth taking a chance. Personally I'd spend the extra $100 for the RSL 10e which happens to also offer much better performance. ($60 extra right now with their Father's Day sale which ends tonight.)

Great sub!
Yes, if your expectation is to rattle walls/windows,break foundation, bother neighbors, this offers that performance at a great price!
No need to overpay for something pricier, not going to add much more performance, worth the higher cost.

Be advised, this is a gimped version of the Klipsch R-120SW. 115W RMS / 230W Peak on the R-120SWi vs. 200W RMS / 400W Peak on the R-120SW. Probably still a fine subwoofer for the price, but not as good of a deal as you might think compared to the regular model.

Update: $75 extra for the 10e now, since the FD sale is done but 4th of July sale is on until the 10th

I bought this last year thanks to SD for $125 and I would gladly pay $200, if you had small subwoofer and wanting to improve sound quality and not worry about wires, this is amazing for the added bass. It's not your typical trunk subwoofer, this is quality deep bass, movie theatre type of rattle, not hip hop or pop music loud obnoxious ear drum popping bass. Sound is still excellent for music the way it should.
