Where is the original $100 price coming from? Says $33.70 is the everyday price.

What other places sell it for is irrelevant when posting a deal.

Menards puts the "everyday price" on sale items for only a couple of dollars above, because some States require you to offer another comparable item if you sell out.

Amazon has it for $76: https://www.amazon.com/Crescent-C...B079TLJXYT

DGI is $94: https://www.dgisupply.com/product/CTGCRW19N

MCI is $106: https://www.mscdirect.com/product...3,85871309

Walmart $96: https://business.walmart.com/ip/C.../135213830

That one on Amazon is frequently $50. So again, I don't see how their "everyday price" has to do with $100.

Menards will have that ratchet priced at $99 hanging on the pegs everyday.

When they put it in a newspaper insert on sale, the "everyday price" will magically become a couple of bucks over the sale price.

Why? Because some States require retailers to offer a "comparable item" for the same price if the sale item sells out. So now Menards can say, "Let's see what you got there, it's $33 normally.....so go ahead and find another $33 ratchet, and we'll also sell that to you for the $29.99 sale price"

Don't shoot the messenger, take it up with Menards

So you're saying online only is this price and in store would say $99.97?

Have you ever been to a Menards?

The white tag says $99, the light blue tag says the sale price and duration of the sale.

When the sale ends, the price goes back to $99, unless it's a red tag, then that's final clearance and it won't be re-stocked.

That country of origin doesn't determine quality in some cases..

Maybe ask the dude I quoted and see.

This is a pretty good price for a 3/4" ratchet from a decent tool manufacturer. Yeah It's a bummer apex makes them in China now, but if they didn't this wouldn't be $30 either.

The vast majority of normal wrenching homeowners will never have the need for a 3/4" ratchet, but for those that do this seems like a good price. I think Harbor Freight sells their basic 3/4" ratchet for about $22 and their high end Icon 3/4" Ratchet for around $120, this ratchet from Crescent is probably somewhere in the middle of those two harbor freight ratchets as far as quality goes. So if you really need one, and only have $22 in your pocket the Harbor freight one is about the cheapest you'll ever find a 3/4" ratchet not ordered from aliexpress. But if you really need one, and have $30 in your pocket I'd think the Crescent would be the better quality long term buy.

If Money is no object go buy a PROTO, Snap On, Matco, Mac, Wright or other high quality $200+, 3/4" ratchet.
