Features:- Simple to use with a quiet brew process, the KBTS makes a full carafe of coffee in 4-6 minutes.
- The copper boiling element rapidly heats water to a brewing temperature of 196°F - 205°F and automatically shuts off when the water reservoir is empty.
- The boiling action moves the water up the glass tube, where it flows into the outlet arm and pulses over the brew basket, blooming the coffee grounds in a manual pour-over coffee style.
- The cone-shaped brew basket steeps the coffee grounds, extracting the coffee's full flavor and maximizing its complexity, taste, and aroma.
- The stainless steel carafe maintains coffee quality, integrity, and taste for up to an hour.

It's one of those things that I don't regret spending the money on, especially with how happy it made the wife. (8+ years of the coffee maker making daily cups).

Nowadays you're lucky if it last half a year.
This is my choice for a daily driver coffee maker. It brews very quickly and makes great coffee. It automatically turns off at 90 minutes on mine (I got the hot plate version, this version is better) and it doesn't lend itself to programming a schedule (you can do smart outlet tricks but meh it brews so fast it doesn't matter to me). Get a decent grinder and enjoy some good ass coffee.
Went with the Zojirushi as it was rated very high by America Teat Kitchen for proper temp, shower head and taste.
Used it for a month until it died, honestly never figured out in what way the coffee was different from one made with a $20 Walmart coffee maker. Wasn't much of an upgrade even over Keurig.
I highly suspect all the hype and "huge difference" when it comes to coffee claims is all placebo effect and coffee nerds mindlessly parroting each other. I will vouch for freshly ground freshly roasted beans as the deciding factor, but grinders and machines themselves make no difference imo.
(I totally understand the people who are super into coffee- it's a hobby like any other and I'm sure getting into all the intricacies can be a good time if that's what you're into)

If you routinely brew for large crowds, you may want to look at Moccamaster's Moccamaster Grand CDT. The problem with the Technivorm Moccamaster 39340 CDT comes if you only want to brew half the carafe. It is recommended and made to brew full carafe because of the shape of the coffee basket.
I have been using the Breville BDC 400 since 2017. It is a little noisier than most. I love the adjustability of it's computer driven control. This will brew anything from 1 cup to 60oz.. Technically though it will not brew 4 cups of HOT coffee. When it senses the reservoir has 4 cups it will brew for ice coffee. The hot tray stays cold and you'd put ice in the carafe. It will be a slower stronger brew to make up for the ice. You can adjust the temperature from 176 to 208. I haven't had a sing problem with it in the 9 years I have it. I do protect the hot plate from coffee drips when removing the carafe as soon as brew is finished to prevent hot plate discoloration. I simply place a napkin on it for the few seconds I am pouring.. But that's because I don't want to wait.
