FWIW, I work in HVAC and I don't see many (any) welders with DIY versions of stuff like this. (Mechanics either) They bill $100+ per hour, why would they waste multiple billable hours fabricating something they could buy and be built in minutes? The ROI just isn't there. Not to mention, sourcing / cutting the metal, fabricating the wheels, measuring, etc. At best you break even on materials and lets not even count the time involved.

But yes, if you wanted a fun project to learn how to weld on in your spare time, that might be a good start for a weekend warrior

P.S. Betting you never built anything like this but everyone else should? Wink

Looks similar to HF's Chicago Electric cart, but that is 100lb limit.

Either this is way overrated, or the HF is way underrated.

The whole point of learning to weld is building your own cart.

Yes, you buy this cheap chart and weld it together instead of using bolts and nuts. Cheaper than buying raw steal and trying to cut it, and other parts that are needed.

looks like it might work for a 20gal vertical air compressor also. Always nice to have a compressor + cart. Although it might be top heavy.....

I bought one of these from Amazon and I had it built and ready in a couple of hours. A lightweight, portable cart that keeps my welder off of the ground while I move it around a project.

Lots of screws to use Loc-Tite on but the finish was powder coated.
