Are Dr. Pepper and Coke trying to psychologically trained us in real time to get used to the idea of high-priced soda? Push for high price soda, use temporary coupons to soothe some pain, and leave the price hikes intact. I remember when these were 4 for $12 at Publix.

I did and I wasn't impressed.
Most of them just taste so off. I bought a bunch of the Cherry on sale but not sure I would do it again.

Not since my pop passed away in 2011. They went up during the pandemic and have never come back down like you would think they would.
Back then I drank 3+ sodas a day. At $5+ a 12-pack, I try to only allow myself 1 per day and often I split that into 2 servings.
I think I got a few packs under $4 last year, but since the war in Iran started the pricing has been outrageous.
Even the generic grocery store brand near me is $5/pack. $5.50/pack for real sugar.

I really enjoy it. They're trying to capture the "dirty soda" flavor of Dr. Pepper with a splash of coconut creamer. It's pretty close.

And it just GDFKING Syrup and Water. And they don't even have to ship the water far with all the bottling plants. And then they don't even run or own their bottling plants. It's like us tilting our neck and chug is the hardest work the bottle has seen all day.
