Sony XB100:

* Better value.
* Longer battery life.
* Has a built-in speakerphone.
* Fits easily in cup holders.
* Excellent for travel, hotel rooms, showers, camping, and casual listening.

Bose SoundLink Micro 2nd Gen:

* Better sound quality.
* Better app support and EQ controls.
* More premium build and strap design.
* Better choice if sound quality is your top priority and price isn't a concern.

Costco has the bigger SoundLink Flex SE for $80 if you have a membership. It is on clearance though, so stock could be low.

if you have the money and you don't care about any thump in your Bass you can grab two of these and have incredible portable desktop sound however it will be delayed latency is the thing here.
on the other hand if you just need a pocket speaker with some good blast to it don't waste your time here grab a UE mini roll! I have a pair of these 2nd gen bose they just collect dust, the UE mini rolls straps on your bike straps onto your backpack straps onto anything goes into your pocket and it feels like you have a subwoofer and twice the power! Power in the physical feel of bass will blow you away as a single driver and in an even smaller size! ultimate pocket speaker! Find one as cheap as you can on eBay or Amazon for $40 or less you won't regret it

Thanks!! I just use the speaker when golfing. So only has to be loud enough to hear it from the cart. So far, the Sony does well for that.
