I did some more digging and the difference from my old model hx6920 and this new one is the old one has more brushing modes, better battery life, nicer handle (rubber grip, lights) and some more custom routines like go care and max care. other than battery life the rest is meaningless to me but it's not like I'll be gone for 14 days and will need better battery life. so this cheaper one is a win for me
I've used sonicare from 2002 to 2019, and I couldn't stomach paying for replacement heads for basically my whole extended family. I switched to fairywill during COVID, where the handle AND eight heads together probably cost under $15. The brand isn't amazing on its own, but it shows that many cheap Chinese alternatives do just as good of a job. No one can show an empirically better clean with pricier brands, so just rate them based on convenience and cost.
My handle is six years old but the way, and holds a charge for at least a week and a half still ๐ช

But im just a random on the internet. As is everyone else here. Add my anecdote to the pile of others.

This one is cost-effective with 3rd-party heads for a buck a piece; you're set for many years. Tip: take 5 seconds and pull off the head and dry the connection points after each brushing to stop the possibility of water intrusion.

That is my point. there is literally no empirical evidence at all for EITHER toothbrush being cleaner than the other. the only variable that has shown a difference IS the price, and durability, for me.

I also compared the OnlyOne handle side by side with my Sonicare 1100, and personally I couldn't tell a meaningful difference. Both leave my teeth feeling equally clean๐ท
