This industrial strength Velcro tape stands out for light mounting jobs where screws feel like overkill, especially on smooth plastic and other flat surfaces. It has been used to hold routers, small computers, an Apple TV, and even a burner DVD player in place for years, with one setup lasting more than 6 years and another for 2 years. The main caution is removal, since the adhesive can pull paint off walls and strong pulls could bend a thin TV. It looks best suited to tidy, low weight mounting where surface damage is not a concern.

I use this to velcro very small computers to the backs of their attached monitors. Haven't had an issue for 6+ years and the computers are heavier than a router. Not such a bad idea to mount one with velcro, though a couple screws would likely be easier and leave less wall damage (the strong adhesive will pull the paint off the wall when removed).
And whom exactly am I judging? The people that velcro their tools (which probably isn't a thing and just something Velcro did an AI image of to create a need or use case where there isn't one). If you're going to get offended on someone else's behalf, pick a better cause.
