This 6 inch Seesii mini chainsaw stands out as a compact, handy cutter for pruning, trail work, and yard cleanup, with enough power to handle surprisingly large branches and even a giant bird of paradise. The two included batteries and spare chain make the $20 price feel especially strong, and Makita batteries also work for longer runtime. The main drawbacks are short battery life on the included pack, slow charging, and the lack of a case or oiler on this model. Chain tension and manual lubrication need attention, so it is a practical little saw if you are fine with basic upkeep.

Common Questions (5)

  • No. This model has no oil reservoir and no oiler, so chain lubrication must be applied manually with chain oil or a light spray like WD-40 during use.

  • Runtime is enough for many pruning and branch-cutting jobs, and one battery can handle a large bird of paradise removal. The included batteries are also reported to run long enough for multiple recharges' worth of work, though smaller tasks will stretch them further.

  • Yes. Makita batteries reportedly fit and work in this saw, and runtime is described as excellent when using them.

  • Yes, the code can still work, but Amazon may take a few tries to accept it and the price may not update until you return to the delivery screen. The code is also reported to be one-use only.

  • No case is included in this deal. The saw is still considered worth the price, but the missing case lowers the value a bit compared with earlier versions that included one.

I bought a similar brand, ships with 2 batteries. It works fantastic, but I noticed batteries have a short run time and take a while to charge with the basic charger that comes with it.

Any idea where to buy additional batteries?
When this deal was posted in May a responder (Danimal86) said Makita batteries will also work in this saw. Buying an additional saw with extras is also a cheaper solution. Makita batteries or even generic equivalents are more expensive unless you already own a Makita cordless tool and have a battery or more.

I can confirm, makita batteries will work in this one. I am buying another now. Gave the extra one I had as a gift

I bought this exact saw end of July beginning of August for the same price $20 and this is the best purchased. I've ever made both batteries last enough for what I'm doing. I've cut branches that are almost the width of this saw it has been amazing before this I had to use. I had a pruning saw on top of a big pole that's connected to electricity but then you're stuck with wires a bit and I keep having to taking it on and off the pole and I also have a full-size chainsaw that's battery powered and I don't wanna get something out that big and heavy when I need something. That's a hand size so this one has been perfect as soon as I got this in the corner of our yard we had a whole bunch we put a whole bunch of branches and stuff over there that was taken down to due to weather with this. I was able to take short work of cutting stuff down, cutting it down to bite-size pieces you could say and giving it to my neighbor so they could try and put in there woodstoves I don't have a woodstove so that they were able to dry and use the maple wood so this has worked unbelievably good. I'm not had a power issue and the battery loss both of them for me quite long.

Just used this yesterday on an unruly weed that became a tree after maybe 4 years of previous home owner neglect. Cut right through it

Prone to rust. I have this and left it in my patio for about a month. Now it is jammed due to rust I guess. I am trying to get warranty support at this point.

I guess we get what we payfor.

If you're in the Bauer line at HFT I highly recommend that brands pruning saw since you can use their 3AH or higher batteries with it and get even more power and run time and also have a fast charger. This is still a good deal if you aren't into that line of tools!
