I bought the wireless version of this and I wish I had returned it. This thing has constant problems tracking subjects. Also gets lost in its range of motion and won't ever go back to its original position. It also spends hours pointed in the wrong direction, staring at the wall. The controls often fail to work when trying to correct its angle or position. Tapo has tried to fix issues with new firmware but the problems persists. Just total track. Waste of money.

Note that pretty much universally the track PTZ tapos don't track properly (either don't follow correctly, slightly lagged, or never go back to original position) as long as you're not trying to use it as such and are just manually changing the position every so often these are excellent outdoor 4k cameras (with light on at 8 brightness out of 100 I get pretty much full color at night in my location.) do note that eventually these might be replaced by the 566 which offers the color pro sensor at 4k and POE https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-n...po-c566wb/ (however tapo has an annoying habit of announcing things and then taking more than a year to actually release them occasionally skipping them all together so don't hold off buying just because there will maybe be a better one at some point, the 566 was announced at CES 2025...)
