Been on many group tours where many fall ill to traveler's diarrhea, but I'm fine.

- Lactobacillus acidophilus (including La-14) has decent evidence for specific things: mild digestive regularity, sometimes helping with antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and general "gut comfort" in some people.
- The claim that it will "balance your overall internal microbiome" or provide broad general-health benefits is marketing language, not something well-supported by research. Microbiome science is still fairly young — we don't have strong evidence that a single-strain daily probiotic meaningfully improves overall health in people without a specific digestive complaint.
- 10 billion CFU is a fairly modest, standard dose — not particularly high compared to many probiotic products (some go into the tens of billions).
