I suggest using Subscribe and Save to get a better discount (as others have mentioned here).
On the flip side, i'm considering getting this as a reserve pack. So i can make large batches and just swap out lol
I have to admit I previously made an error recommending "Super Clean" (purple) in my DIY version. It is too harsh due to sodium hydroxide (lye) and you shouldn't breathe it or get it on your skin. Mea culpa. That was dumb on my part, but I can take criticism.
It got me thinking, what makes Powerwash effective? Per Powerwash's MSDS (safety info), the main active ingredient is Dipropylene Glycol Butyl Ether (DGBE). It's considered MUCH safer than other chemicals and luckily, you can find it in other heavy duty degreasers. Adding an ounce of a safer heavy duty degreaser will boost the cleaning power, and it's cheap. All I did was search for degreasers containing DGBE. Specifically, there are two, Oil Eater "CLEAR" (which I cannot find), and Oil Eater Orange https://www.amazon.com/Oil-Eater-...B000EANNE6 MSDS https://oileater.com/chemical-ingredients-list/
I haven't tried it yet, but I have a feeling I'm on to something. The only thing I don't know is the proportion of dish soap to degreaser, and whether I still need to add isopropyl alcohol (my gut tells me no). It should be easy enough to figure out.
