I just installed a Garvee 18K unit myself two weeks ago. Works mint, blows ice cold. Just a FYI.

Functionally equivalent effort of installing 120V if you've done it before. Recommend sparky if you aren't confident though.

whats the difficulty lvl for first timer would you rated? plus any special tools required for the vacuum part or new model doesnt require that any more?

220v will require two breaker slots vs 1 with 110v.

You should not be plugging this into an outlet....

I did the 220V circuit w/ surge suppressor, rated box myself along with the entire remainder of the install for $900 total including the unit itself.

First timer w alot of mechanical/automotive/electrical experience? Definitely can be a DIY job.
First timer w/little to no experience in hands on mechanical work- Definitely not. Just drilling the hole through the house alone and hitting the wrong area could results in a disaster for you.
I have a TON of plumbing/carpentry/electrical/mechanical experience and the hardest/annoying part for me was getting the lineset cover nice and straight on my house without kinking the copper lines.

do you have a good youtube video for evac-ing the lines? I'm tired of bugging the hvac guy every time I install one of these (fyi they are a breeze, generally- unless your basement is finished)

Special equipment would be small refrigerant pump and 410A fitting adapters. Can be bought HF or Amazon around $120. Everything else is drills, hand tools, etc. I HIGHLY recommend using NYLOG refrigerant seal when connecting your refrigeration fittings. Look up on youtube how to use it.
