I love this backpack. I have all 3 sizes. I love it because you can lay it flat on the back and open the flap up like a suitcase and have easy access to the contents. It's not like a traditional backpack where you have to stuff everything from the top. Also the 46L is the maximum size for a carry-on.

Compared to JanSport, yes. For its class, not really.

This is a big backpack. For comparison, the wheeled 22in Sojourn carryon is listed as 45L. So this is even larger.

Osprey makes exceptional packs and has one of the best warranties available.

Out of curiosity what do you do with the 30L? Is that your EDC?

I have this in the 46L. This is my onebag for 90% of my trips. No check ins. Have done international. Have put a suit in for weddings. The straight jacket design makes it easy to really clamp down if you are in a bind for space. Extremely sturdy and zippers are silky smooth. Has a water bottle pouch. In my opinion the best onebag travel item. I have recommended this to all my friends and family. $130 is the lowest i've seen and what i got it for about a year ago.

I have the Farpoint, 40L very similar. Bag has a good weight to volume characteristic and very good shoulder harness/hip belt. If you are carrying your pack much you absolutely want a good padded hip belt to distribute the weight off of your shoulders. With this size bag you are likely packing 15 to 35 lbs.

I also have the Farpoint 40L and it's the best travel bag I own. Going on 11 years and lots of travel, I've only had a rubber grip piece for the zipper break.

I am looking for lightweight backpack for my backpacking hiking trip. Seems like this might be little heavy for multi-day hiking.

I can get by with the 30L for a weekend trip to see my parents or brother. I'm a fairly light packer, plus using a vacuum bag to squeeze my clothes. I'll use the 46L for 4 night work trips where I fly. And the 65L for any trips more than 3-4 days by car.

Wrong tool for the job. This is an everyday or travel backpack, not a backpacking backpack. You want something more along the lines of the Osprey Kestrel (the "tank mule of a backpack"), or the Atmos AG (comfiest shoulder setup ever), or the Exos (ultralight-ish for multi day).
You wouldn't catch me dead backpacking for several days with this. This is for airport hoppers, daily work use where you are out and about a good bit, in school and working, etc.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Will look into those options.
