I just wish they added that into the price. hate being surprised by "fees"
I do too, but still have to compare the actual price to what you're up against. $18 is still less than $20 or $25.

I have a plan that has 4 months left. I wish I could renew but my guess is they'll have one around black Friday. I only use it for data anyway. What price increase are people talking about on T-Mobile? I am on Go 5G+ currently

Seeing this burns me up a bit. I was with mint 4-1/2 years on the unlimited plan I believe it was 350$ annual to renew in May. Previous years you call them say your considering switching can you give a better price , I found a deal at this company and mint would lower the plan. This year they would not , said we no longer discount our plans are already cheap enough. I bought the visible deal for 225$ annual , a little more unthrottled data and hot spot which I don't use often. Mint offers 180$ annual to a new customers but wanted to charge an existing almost double and was not willing to bend a bit to keep them. Visible is unthrottled kind of... at home I have zero issues with data but several times now in public places (stores, restaurant etc) it gets throttled almost unusable data spinning circles. I did not have that issue with mint unless I went over the data cap. Next year potentially I could go back to mint for 180$ but it shouldn't have been this difficult!

I've been with Mint Mobile for over a year now and couldn't be happier. The service is just as good, if not better, than AT&T/Verizon for a quarter of the price.

I just tried to check out and got this notification "Add 12 months of Home MINTernet and lock in the price of your voice plan for 5 years. Plus, you'll get an extra $10/mo off Home MINTernet (that's $300 in yearly savings)." Am I dreaming that this is saying that the renewal price will be locked in at $180/year based on that?

Since T-Mobile is getting rid of all the grandfathered plans I hear that right now T-Mobile was getting sued and there is a legal battle regarding the price gouging and price hikes that T-Mobile is implementing

Too bad the S26 with 256GB is out of stock or I would go for it. It would be a free phone with the trade in of my S24 (update: 256GB S26 available today 7/8/2026)

I don't think anyone ever answered you regarding the "streams in SD" so I'll do it here:

T-Mobile has traffic inspection set up on their service. They can tell when you are streaming video. When you are streaming video, they throttle the shit out of your connection such that you can only manage 480p, high compression videos.

Maybe not a deal breaker for some, but in 2026 any streaming services are not at all set up to handle this gracefully anymore and run like absolute shit.

You can get around this throttling by using a VPN, but streaming services now almost universally block you from using them if they detect a VPN. So this is actually a huge pain in the ass and a complete deal breaker for me.
So you're saying that we're being throttled for streaming regardless of TMo vs Mint?

I've been with MINT since last November, been very please, good service, no issues in my area with spotty coverage.Given this is an UNLIMITED everything plan at $15 a month with a major 'no-name' carrier, you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal. You're set until July 2027 if you purchase it and port. Many deals that get posted that are comparable or less money are for 3 months or 6 months tops and then you're back shopping for service again in short order, having to port your number and all the other jazz. And some of those carriers, like Infimobile have some reputation issues.
I've had Mint for years and it's never let me down. I live in a rural area. Every year I manage to get the same $180/year deal. This year I got unlimited data for the same $15/month. You can't beat it. Over 5 years now.

How do you manage to get the same deal? They don't allow that once your deal expires.
