They offered me the 6GB plan for $180. Works for me, and international plans work in Europe

US Mobile's Unlimited Starter deal on the T-Mobile network (they call it light speed) is better. $199 all in vs $212+ for this one considering taxes/fees. US Mo gives you same QCI7 priority level, more high speed data (70 gigs before slowing down), 720p - maybe even 4k streaming, free calls to a ton of countries instead of just 3, and a touch of international data. Only thing worse is 10gigs hotspot instead of 20.

If anyone is interested in the US Mobile premium plan at a discount please DM me. I'm at the top tier of their referral program which they're ending July 27th, so I'd like to get some more referrals in. I'll send you $75 after 6 months in addition to the $25 they send you, bringing your premium line down to $199 cost ($299 up front). You can even test Verizon and AT&T if you like with that plan. Cheers!
WOW... I agree with almost everything you said. USMobile is cheaper and offers 20GB more high speed internet. BUT...

The one thing is if you travel outside Mexico, USA, Canada... you may want to get the $299 plan at USMobile or Mint may be better since buying extra data is more expensive with USMobile then Mint Mobile.

I will be switching to Minit Mobile in about 10 months. But that is my plan OR Visible. And thank you for the info.

I thought Mint Mobile's whole thing was about them being the $15 a month service provider. How is this a deal if it's their normal price?
LOL... laughing at the first response. OK... TMobile OFFERS 6GB/17GB/23GB/Unlimited DATA... prices are 15 per month/20 per mnth /25 per mnth and 30 per mnth.
So you are getting the $30.00 per month for $15 per month IF YOU BUY THE ENTIRE YEAR UPFRONT ($180.00 plus TAXES AND FEES)
i hope you understand now.

Has anyone used mint internationally? If so, did it work well?
If you are traveling, you will most likely need to purchase more data BUT Mint has some of the best rates... they call it the Minternational Pass. This is what we normally buy.... 10-Day Pass $20 for 10GB high-speed data, 500 mins talk, 500 texts.

OK.... for a recap... there are three major carriers... AT&T, Tmobile and Verizon. And there are three really cheap pre paid deals if you are lucky enough to find the deal... They are....

  1. Mint Mobile For $210ish (taxes and fees included)... Mint says this costs $180 plus taxes and fees.
  2. USMobile $199 (ONLY tmobile's network), seems always on sale but remember the price balloons after the first year so you need to continuously switch.
  3. Visible $225 when the sale happens.
I will also mention USMobile $299 per year plan if you do Verizon or AT&T and this plan has the best international calling of all plans. Visible would be the next closest if you travel less then 24 days a year internationally.

if you like Tmobile... do Mint and then after one year switch to USMobile and the next year you switch back to Mint... This keeps your cell phone plan very affordable. And this is what I do. But I have been going between Visible and Mint but if Visible is not on sale I will jump ship to USMobile.

Thank you for the reply! Only thing I'll add is that getting a data esim (from MobiMatter, Nomad, etc.) is a great alternative and probably what I'd do, cheaper than even minternational. Pair that with turning your US Mo esim on occasionally for sms and calling as needed and you've got a good cheap path for international travel. Yes, a frequent international traveler will 100% want the premium plan.

Good deal, bought 4 lines. Just in case nobody is aware they do charge a "recovery fee" which is mainly just bs. This is what they charged me for 4 lines

If I got 2 x $45 3 months plans from Amazon (their max) is there any time limits to activation? I'd like to use a GC. But they only seem to be offering the 90 day promotional plans.

I do understand that those will be limited to the 3mos each. That I'd have to get another phone number. But that's ok.

Thanks in advance...

Love Mint. Basically TMo without the fluff. Never had an issue with Mint service in my area. In some areas, even got better coverage. If you travel internationally, this can get expensive. Otherwise, fantastic
