Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on Switch 2 is drawing attention as a low price for a game key card release, with the main appeal being that it can be sold or traded after finishing. The card works as a license to download and play the game while inserted, and it can still be played offline after downloading. The main concerns are the long shipping estimate, the fact that the software is not on the cart, and the risk that access depends on Nintendo services and the key card model. The eShop price is also far lower, around $13 to $14, which makes the resale angle feel thin.
The key card can function as a license that lets you download the game and play it while the cart is inserted.
The card can still allow offline play after the game has been downloaded.
Nintendo eShop pricing is shown as $13 and $14, which can help compare against the key card deal.
The key card license may stop working if Switch 2 online services are shut down.
Key cards are described as a poor value because digital pricing is far lower and resale differences may not justify the hassle.
Shipping for the deal is estimated at 1-3 weeks, which can delay getting the cart.
