This model was XR until they removed XR branding from it. Now only the 7 1/4" is XR. This exact model was XR for years.

They should have just left the XR branding since it's brushless. BTW I happened to learn last night that 6.5 inch saws that are blade left are commonly known as trim saws. Being a lefty, I really like the blade left design, as it kicks saw dust away from me and keeps the narrow side of the shoe closes to my off cuts. Now I'm on the hunt for a 7.25 inch rear handle cordless saw, as these are also a blade left design. I also own this saw. I used it recently and it struggled to cut through 2x10 PT lumber. I had to use my Metabo HPT 36v 7.25" to make the cuts. Regardless, this DeWalt is still an excellent saw.

I have this and its great. Battery powered circular saw was a game changer. Only wish I had gotten the 7" but this thing works for 99% of the things I need it for. Everything else requires a flip

carpenter/contractor here for 30 years, bought 2 Metabo 36volts blade left as you say and they are hands down the best circular saws I've ever used.

Fair price, but if you need another tool and batteries can do better with the Lowes offer (buy (2) 5 aH batteries/charger get 2 tools free). Plus can pay with discounted GCs, earn Lowes Rewards, use a referral site, etc

Great saw and a step up from the base with electric brake and magnesium shoe. This was an XR model when it debuted until recently removal from XR roster. Solid buy and Milwaukee has nothing to compete with this guy at this price unless you want a brushed 14 year old
Design.

In addition to this DeWalt, I also own a Metabo HPT 6 inch trim saw (because I found a clearance one for $40 so why not lol), and the 7.25 inch blade right "The Stud", when you could get it bundled with a 8ah starter kit for $199.00 a year or so ago. It's light with plenty of power, it just blasts me with sawdust each time I use it because I'm using it with my left hand. Definitely going to get that Metabo rear handle saw if I can get a decent deal on one. I'm not even in the trades. I'm just a home owning tool junkie who watches too many home improvement and woodworking videos on YT. I suppose there are worst vices to have. lol

You mean to say that you're looking at cordless worm saws? All worm saws are left-blade.

If you want a left-blade corded sidewinder, you can take a look at the Skilsaw Model # SPT67M8-01. I own the right-blade version.

Yes! I'm specifically considering a worm drive saw. Preferrably from Metabo HPT, since it's 36v. My current 36v Metabo is a right blade sidewinder model C3607DBQ4. Good to know there's a corded option as well for us lefties. Appreciate the recommendation!
