Recently found out that eufy doesn't play that nice with Home Assistant. Wish I bought Reolink instead.

Will state the app for eufy is extremely bloated. When I've looked previously, they often use different frameworks for different devices and each one adds to the minimum size. In my case, the door lock is 600MB of app data and 600MB user data some how. Which is for a device with no camera, just a basic biometric, and standard pin code.

I was about to get this version from Eufy as Costco has it in store for $89.99.

However, after watching some videos and reading reviews, I got a Reolink instead *because* it has better integration with Home Assistant.

Get a Reolink and sell the Eufy. Smilie

Yeah I have an earlier generation and the base station/chime is pretty much a necessity. Even with it I don't love the lag between button press and an audible sound. Without it it's bleh.

I'm not a fan of the Eufy mobile app . I have a dual cam doorbell and dead bolt. The pulling up video alerts is sooo slow and mostly fails to load. The deadbolt works great tho

I love my EUFY products. I only have 2 items, the flood light cam and this doorbell/package cam. It works great and there's no monthly fee. I see people complaining about the app but at the end of the day, it does its job. If you don't have off-cam storage, the videos will overwrite themselves after a time. I've recently adjusted the length of my videos to record 1.5 minutes instead of 2 minutes each.

I agree with others. Eufy for cameras, but not doorbell cams. Too many issues.

I have the Ring Doorbell pro, which does some very neat things like identifying if it's a delivery got from Amazon or UPS.

That said, I came across something just now when browsing the deal.

This would be nice for someone in a rental and looking to install a security camera
