Now that I think about it, my very first "slick" deal of all time was getting Dragon Quest for NES free with my Nintendo Power subscription

Kid me could not believe I was getting an NES game free with a $20 magazine sub. Adult me now knows that Nintendo couldn't sell them because America did not yet love RPGs

Came with a strategy guide too, which is the only reason I was able to beat it!

I remember getting it that exact way. We played that game tons. My younger brother actually still has that strategy guide! Nintendo Power was awesome

I would avoid most game key cards from square Enix. Cheap bastards can 100% put some games on a physical card and/or provide upgrade options... but decided to be pricks and force you to buy an empty game key card, especially if you owned the switch 1 version

To put salt in the wound, you can't use your Switch 1 save file on the Switch 2 version of the game. There's no migration possible. Only start from a newly created save file.

Sadly Sony is going this way also in 28. We need to take a stand now and say as video game purchasers we will not stand for that!!! It offers NO resale value and if you loose your account or they loose the license you loose the game!!
