Italo's high-speed trains connect 50 major cities across Italy, offering access to 57 stations nationwide and ensuring a fast and convenient travel with no booking fee. Select American Express cards (ymmv) earn a one-time $50 statement credit after using your enrolled eligible Card to make a single qualifying purchase of $250 USD or more online.

Steps:Terms:
Eligible Card Members must first add offer to their Card and then use same enrolled Card for qualifying purchases. Any Cards issued outside of the US are not eligible. Only Card Members who enroll are eligible; offers are non-transferable.
Limit of 1 statement credit per eligible Card Member account.
Offer valid online at italotreno.com/en or through Italo Treno mobile app only. Qualifying purchases must total a minimum of $250 USD, following conversion from a foreign currency.
Offer is only valid on purchases made directly with the merchant. Offer not valid on purchases made using third parties, such as resellers, delivery services, or other intermediaries.
If you meet the offer requirements, the statement credit(s) will typically post to your account within 30 days after you make a qualifying purchase, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. In some circumstances, it may take up to 90 days after the offer end date for statement credit(s) to post.

it depends which card you have. Travel, premium, hotel co-branded ones generally do not have foreign transaction fees.

Very few cards have a forex fee anymore, just be sure if given the choice to pay in Dollars, choose Euros instead. That Dollar option will definitely mark up the rate.
