Yes I agree this is an amazing beginner drone, regardless of you just want a third person view of yourself, flying selfie stick(by doing palm launch in quickshot mode, in half a minute it lands on you palm and you're done) or even FPV(you need to pay for goggles, of course).
The gesture control is far more useful than you can imagine, you must enable it in app after watching tutorial.
The propeller guards make it survive most user errors.
The only downside is the small size made the battery life suffer, it also isn't a good idea to fly it in windy situation since it is too light.
