The 42" LG C6 is the better choice if you want a display for both gaming and movies/TV. It has stronger HDR processing, better overall TV features, and is great for consoles.
I also attached an image showing a size comparison of the two.

Edit: Also, the new Dell is coming out soon in the US with a 39" glossy at a great price (~$1100) that many are waiting for. With my office having a lot of window light, I am still leaning towards the LG.

It seems to be a deeper screen cleaning mode since that happens pretty much every day and just takes an extra second to wake up, but it sometimes needs to go deeper clean refresh.
The little nub to control the monitor is also in an absolutely horrible spot, like center middle but inside the "guts" a little bit and I can never remember where it is.
