Would this have a significant benefit over 42 inch oled tv as monitor like c5,c6?

If you're mainly a PC gamer, the 45" UltraGear 5K2K OLED is the better buy. The 21:9 5120×2160 ultrawide gives you a much larger workspace and a more immersive gaming experience, plus it has DisplayPort 2.1, USB-C, and Dual Mode (165 Hz at 5K2K or 330 Hz at WFHD for competitive games).

The 42" LG C6 is the better choice if you want a display for both gaming and movies/TV. It has stronger HDR processing, better overall TV features, and is great for consoles.

I also attached an image showing a size comparison of the two.

TLDR
  • Mostly PC gaming/work: 45" UltraGear 5K2K OLED
  • PC + PS5/Xbox + movies: 42" LG C6 OLED

Don't know what to say. I have the same monitor in my cart. Maybe that code is locked to your account? Don't see a way to post a screenshot from the SlickDeals iOS app. Also odd: my pricing is different. The monitor is $1349 already. Looking to drop another 15% down below $1200. This is the price point I bought my first one of these with a 15% personal code LG sent me directly stacked on top of this $1349 sale price.

I'm torn between this and the 39" because of the more aggressive curve on the 45". Coming from a 32" + 27" I feel the 39" may feel small.

Edit: Also, the new Dell is coming out soon in the US with a 39" glossy at a great price (~$1100) that many are waiting for. With my office having a lot of window light, I am still leaning towards the LG.

Unsure, I found it via a Reddit comment but maybe it's used up already unless you've already added it? Unsure sorry :/

I am currently on a 32" LG Ultragear monitor thats dual mode 240 hz yadda yadda and I mostly like it, the only annoying thing is a few times a week it'll take a good 5 minutes to "wake up" after a few hours in standby.

It seems to be a deeper screen cleaning mode since that happens pretty much every day and just takes an extra second to wake up, but it sometimes needs to go deeper clean refresh.

The little nub to control the monitor is also in an absolutely horrible spot, like center middle but inside the "guts" a little bit and I can never remember where it is.

you will need at least a 5080 to move 5120×2160 at 60FPS +

I have trouble finding that little nub too sometimes 😜
